Frequent Asked Questions

What is the difference between a Rustic and a Delux Shed?

The difference is in the type of timber used. The Rustic shed is constructed with rough 10mm overlap boards with a 16mm butt jointed roof and floor. The Delux shed is constructed with 22mm kiln dried planed weather sheeting with tongued and grooved roof and floor. Due to the nature of the timber the Rustic Shed is more prone to dampness in wet or very exposed conditions.

What do I need to prepare for the delivery of my Garden Shed?

You need a clear level site and unless the shed is erected on a patio or tarmac some 4″ solid concrete blocks. The number of blocks depends on the size of the shed.

How long does delivery take after point of order?

The average time is a week to ten days. We will contact you the day before delivery with an approximate time of arrival. It is possible to pre book delivery for a specific day. We do not deliver on a Sunday or on Bank Holidays.

How often do I need to paint my shed with preservative and which one should I use?

Your shed is treated before it leaves the factory. We suggest that you treat the shed again within six months of purchase and every two years thereafter. Ronseal Fencelife is the brand that we recommend but you will find many good proprietary brands in your local hardware store.

What is Pressure Treated Timber?

Pressure Treated Timber has been C. C. O. treated. This treatment is absorbed into the timber and is very long lasting. The treatment means that minimal further maintenance is required. The timber is a light colour and develops a hint of green with age.

Can I get a shed made to my specification?

Yes. We require a drawing of your requirements and a 50% deposit.

Are your sheds under any guarantee?

Yes. The materials and workmanship are guaranteed for one year.

Do you have any alternative roofing other then heavy duty green mineral felt?

Yes. Brown galvanized box profile roofing. Price depends on size of shed.

I have no side access to my back garden. Does this mean that I cannot get a shed?

If we are informed in advance of the access problems, in most cases, we can make the shed in smaller sections which will go through a house assuming there is a straight run through the house. This will incur a surcharge as the shed is more complex to manufacture and it takes longer to construct.

Do sheds come in different colours?

Yes. Pressure Treated Sheds are a very pale green colour. The standard shed colour is brown. Forest Green is also available but incurs a surcharge as these sheds are hand painted. Please contact a sales representive for pricing information.

How do I pay for my shed?

We ask for a deposit upfront with balance payable on delivery. Pay through our website or credit transfer. If you are not available to meet our delivery staff, a pre-marked site and prepayment will be sufficient to ensure delivery and erection.
